hi all
i have a 10 gallon via aqua tank with 2 fantails, 1 blackmoor and 1 oranda, i do a 20% water change every week, in the tank i have 2 plants which i keep trimmed. recently i have noticed the water seems slightly cloudy even after water changes, 2 weeks ago i changed the carbon in the filter but it has not improved.

the fish seem fine in fact they have been spawning not for last week or so thou , i feed small amounts once a day, add aqua water treatment to water before changing and add bio cycle once a week

any suggestions?????

That tank is way and truly overstocked, goldfish are big waste producers, for the first fish 20gal, then 10gal for every other one added, plus they need an excellent filter sometimes two running.
I would get a bigger tank or rehome them.

I would advise upgrading the tank to somthing larger, the water is most likely cloudy because the tank cannot handle the waste  .

i recommend a pond ... lol

the lfs sold me a baby koi once and he kindof outgrew his 10 gallon.....

thats why i keep a pond

goldfish have a reputation of making a mess (poop wise..)
and makin the water cloudy

as well as oscars....

when i bought the tank i was told it could easily stock four fancy gold fish the fish have been in about 6 months, the tank water has been clear up until last 2 weeks or so, but in the last month have noticed how much they have grown and thought of buying a bigger tank, but for the mean while will doing bigger water changes help?

Water changes will help in the mean time :) , what is the temp in the tank?

mmmmmmmmmm well here goes the temp in the tank is approx 22 which i expect is to warm and maybe explains why the little monkeys are spawning all the time at it again today :hey:  they always seem to 2 days after a water change???
