Hello,

I have 4 swordtail fish. One is defiantly a male and I presume the other 3 are female from what I know.
I thought 2 of them where pregnant due to swelling in the lower area. I moved her over to another tank to quarantine to save some of her fry when released.
But I have just noticed this hanging down from underneath I looked it up online and it has said it’s some sort of worm. Can you help to confirm this.

thank you all in advance

It looks more red, it’s been there for the past hour or so maybe longer now
What have you been feeding them? If the food is reddish, the poop will be reddish too.

Camallanus worms are the classic red worms, but they don't present like that, they're much smaller and poke out in a bunch like an old splayed paintbrush. Looks like a normal poop to me too, maybe after feeding tetra flakes?
