Advice Needed Re: Saltwater Set-Up

I just shut down my fresh water aquarium after 5 years and have been thinking of going the saltwater route. I would like to start with a fish only tank before moving to anything more complex.

Any suggestions regarding equipment needed.

equipment for a fish only would be a skimmer if you r having a fowlr the you will need live rock if just a fo then you would need a filter,test kits,a refractometer,lights (any will do t8 or t5 because you will not be having any corals) water can be Ro or tapwater with tap water treatment. but i think you will go for a reef after a few months.

Can you elabrate on the "better stocking choices" for the 33 gal. tank that you recommend.
