Here is the first (and sure to be the largest) installment of my FW tanks.
75G. with just one Flor bulb in the hood.
Eheim 2229
1 300 w titainum heater
Very Cheep river rock from Menards... I am not sure what the large rock is.. dug up from my Ma's yard.
I use RO water and do not treat it further.

The tank is 2 years old
I run the lights about 12 hours a day.
1 death - rainbow beat up by Cichlid, or algea blooms... I stopped checking the chemistry a long time ago.
I change water 2/3 times a month about 13 gal worth.

Current Dwelers:
2 Electric Yellows
9? fry... not sure who the parents are.
4 Boeseami Rainbow (Melanotaenia boesemani)(TY ID FanOFish)
1 Dwarf Neon (Melanotaenia praecox)(TY ID FanOFish)
1 Regal Rainbow (Melanotaenia trifasciata)(TY ID kmurph)

I am without my fish dictionary ATM :(

ENJOY :)

This first one is an older picture of my set up.
You can see the FW tank is a room divider.
The "back" normally a tanks side has 3 PVC pipes split in half then glued to the glass. On this many stones and substrate have been stuck. There are three rows of slits I sawed in hopping to make a triangle shelving come into the tank with egg crate... It didn't work that well, but the PVC covered rock still looks pretty good after 2 years (some rocks have fallen to leave just glue marks... still looks heaps better than a picture.

OK I am going to start from one side of the tank and take shots all around it
The first 2 shots are from the "Left" of the main side. One in the center, one from the right as in the previous photo. One from the small side, and some from the back.

There were 3 of these... and you can see I didn't have access to a nice camera at the time... I add this fish because... Though I am sure the 2 Electric Yellow Raised the Fry you see in the tank... perhaps their father was this fish? With all the aggression (every fin was chewed up by this dude and I had everyone sepperated in beta boxes at one point) and the 2 batches of fry... I took all 3 of these fish back... Dang he was BEAUTIFUL...

This is my favorite of the Rainbows
It is much smaller than the others now (they grew he did not). We only have one of them and he usually does not school with the other ones, especially now that the 3 terrors are out of the tank. I think it is a little sad and lonly... exept when there is food in the tank :)

Would you ever think that a Rainbow Fish could be king of the tank?
He keeps the other RB in line. But even when that monster cichlid was in the tank he has never been chaced. I don't know what kind of steriods he is on.. but man he is much bigger and tougher than the rest of the batch.
When the Purple Monster used to live w us Just the two of them would hang out front.
