Hi there...

I've adopted a 6' common plec from a owner who couldn't handle/ didnt care about it anymore. It was kept in a dirty little 10 gal which looked lik it hadn't been touched in awhile ( hes a trooper ). I couldn't stand seeing him like that so i offered to give him a better home...he said "sure" . I'll be adding him to my new 70. Along with 5 pictus and a pair of firemouths. I'm about to do a web search.....but i would like some info on them...i know they get huge but i just want to give him a better home than he had.

any help would be great!!! :)

:D Your story sounds JUST like mine Check it out! (http://fish.orbust.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=49444) and I will give you some info and tips

*They Are Alge eaters
*The can grow up to 2 feet in the wild
*Feed them an occasional alge tablet or shrimp pellets
*S0metimes chichlids will chew there fins (don't worry)
*They will hide most of the time
* You NEED to provide hiding spots
*Swim at bottom Levels

I Hope I could be of some help and if I did not then you can always search on www.google.com Thanks for helpign the Pleco BTW and Good Luck and God Bless
