Do adfs need groups, and also if i do add another one will it make my other one more active as it doesn't seem to do much?

I have a single ADF in my biube along with some guppies , danios and tetras.He is absolutly fine on is own. This is my second ADF the first one i had lived for over 2 years on his own. So i dont know if they need company or not but mine is very active and happy.
