Adf's And Puffer(s)?

NO WAY! Green Spotted Puffers are brackish/saltwater. Definately need lots of salt. ADFs and loaches would fry at that salinity. Even if the animals could be kept in remotely similar conditions, the puffer would not hesitate to rip and ADF apart. You really need to get salt for the puffer. You will need some salt mix(like Instant Ocean) for saltwater tanks, and a hydrometer (to measure salinity. You should go ask people in the brackish forum for help pronto.

No woories I was thinking about buying one, The dumb LFS didn't say anything about them being saltwater fish >.< Well I guess I'll have to let those guys go on the way side. What about crabs a freshwater variety?

im not sure but i am pretty sure that all crabs need some sort of land to get up on. If im wrong someone please let me know so i know what kind of crab i will be hunting for for my tank :)

GSPs are almost always sold as freshwater fish. However, they will need marine (or almost marine) conditions as an adult. They are one of the most incompatible fish I have ever seen. There is almost no other fish that can be kept with them (until they are in full marine conditions).

ADFs are not acceptable. They are complete fw.

Loaches are not acceptable. They are complete fw.

Crabs are not acceptable. Even if they were, they would get destroyed by the GSP. All puffers eat crusteceans (anything from lobsters to krill to crabs).

Don't worry All I have in my tank now are 2 ADF'S, 4 loaches (kuhli), two bettas Male and female. Question my water is too basic how do I make it more acidic? EDIT: Would adding lemon juice to the water be stupid?

1. You really should seperate the male and female betta, as the male will harass the female til the female dies. It may not be doing it now but eventually it will happen.

2. Lemon juice sounds good in theory but thats messing with something i know nothing about so i personally wouldnt. but i do understand why you would think that juices being more acidic and all.

im not positive but im pretty sure that i have read that when trying to breed you introduce more than one female, let them do their thing then seperate them. You add more than one female so he doesnt keep going after the same one.
