Just got a couple today, they dont seem very happy, I tryed dropping lots of sinking pellets around them to eat but they didnt touch them.
Is this normal for them to be withdrawn when first put in?

cheers

Mine has problems seeing the food,it helps it you can drop it right on top of their heads or where it touches their front hands,so they can feel it and know it's time to chow. Mine only eats when I put my finger in the tank pointing to the floating food,or if it touches his front hands.

I use a pipette from a test kit to hand feed my ADF's. You can also use a turkey baster. My ADF's don't like pellets. They eat frozen bloodworms, beefheart and brine shrimp.
