i awoke this morning to find one of my ADF's has escaped, i found him dead on the stairs.

i went and got another ADF so my other one was not lonely but now i cant see either of my adfs.

i covered up all the small gaps and really cant understand how they escaped! are they quite good at escaping?

I don't know. But apparently they are. Look on the floor and around the room for them and look in or around the decor for them in the tank.

i hooked all the cave sup to see if they were in there. i can see one but cant see other.

why all of a sudden have they started escaping?

Maybe they don't like the water stats or its to small for there liking or they don't like the other fish in there or they could simply not be happy and want to commit suicide. What are the other fish in there, the water stats, size of tank in gallons, how often you vacum clean tank?

Hi laurasmithuk :)

I'm sorry about your little frog escaping. :rip:

They are great escape artists and you can't be too careful with them. They can get out of very small spaces. And they can hop across the floor pretty quickly too, so be cautious when cleaning out the tank.

If you haven't looked through this thread yet, why not check it out? It gives a number of links with information about ADFs and their larger ACF relatives. :D
