I love African Dwarf frogs... I strarted with two from the local pet shop, and these little guys were called Kermit and Freddo as each had the beginning letter in dots on their heads! Freddo and Kermit were very happy together, and i often woke in the night to them singing to one another. One day I found them grasping each other, and spinnging to the top of the tank in a spiral, and then suddenly falling to the bottom. I have a picture of this, but im not sure how to add this to the forum?
Then unfortunatly one day, I was cleaning out the tank. My old tank was a hexagon one, with an attached lid, and sometimes the lid would get stuck on a wire so i would wiggle the lid to shut it. My little Freddo one day while I was cleaning my tank jumped up onto the ridge of the lid, and I didnt notice him, untill a few days later when I went to feed them blood worms, and noticed Freddo was dry as a bone, and cut in half on my lid
After Freddo's departure, i noticed Kermit was rather lathargic and not being herself, so I went and got two more African Dwarf frogs thinking she may be lonely...but Kermit it would seem had a broken heart, and she died about a week later.
So a little word of advice, these guys jump!! and they are more attached to their partners than we think.
P.S think i have uploaded a picture of the two little guys now...
