Hi all

I just wondered what sort of dishes others use for feeding their frogs? At the moment our frogs are hand fed and we might well keep it that way, but as we plan to get a Betta we thought it might be worth trying to get them used to eating from a dish so they always know where to go for it. I did a search and the only ones i could really find were reptile feeding dishes and im not sure if they would even sink in a fish tank?

Any recommendations appreciated :good:

you can use a lot of things - - I have used the kidney bean shaped bowl they label for "hermit crabs" - shallow and easy to clean

there are others who use the bottom ceramic plates used for planters, tupperware container lids, etc - you can probably find something in your house that works for you!

Thankyou once again Jenste, you seem to be the only one that ever replies to my froggie threads  much appreciated!

I have seen those kidney shaped dishes you mentioned during my searches so its good to know they are suitable for a frog dish. Would much rather get a proper dish to keep in with the theme i have in mind for the tank, cant wait to get it and set it up :D

No problem! They seem to be in a few colors - dark green, dark blue, dark maroon or tan sometimes. The dark green is the most common

Any regular dish would do, as long as its not poisonous
