One of my ADFs is floating in the sater upside down. He won't move at all, even when I caught him in the net. He's gotta be dead, unless this is normal in any way???

I did a water test and it looks like nitrite is between .5 and 1.0

How do I lower the nitrite? I don't want everyone to die in my tank.

Sorry to hear that Vulcan  . I would do a quick water change ASAP. Trust me a quick water change can mean life or death (still kicking myself). Good Luck

Ok I did a change. I guess I should do that more often. Is nitrite that big of a problem? It wasn't too high.

Thanks.

I had one of mine die in mysterious circumstances. i have replaced him and now do 25% h2o change every week and feed bloodworm every 3 days (flake on other days for the fish) they love em be carefull not to feed too much bloodworm mine will eat them till they literally can't swim to the surface... greedy sod. nitrite will harm them so try to keep as low as possible. too much food rotting on the bottom will eventually cause nitrite to rocket up so food and water changes are the key.

i'm by no means an expert but my 2 adf's are doing fine now. there cool to watch as well no one who sees my tank even looks at the fish they are too fixated on the frogs.

hope this helps
