Well I've decided to buy a 5 gallon tank so that I can seperate my two Dwarf Gouarmis who just can't seem to get over their differences :X. So I'm going to put one of them in the new tank, but I'd like him to have some buddies of some sort. I'd like some suggestions of what to add :). Obviously I don't have a whole lot of room, so what would be best? I don't want a bottom feeder, I'd like some happy lil guys who swim all over the place. I was thinking maybe some sort of tetra, but if there's something more unique that would work, that would be preferred. Also, would cherry barbs work? I've heard they are pretty shy, but if they are like some other barbs, I don't want them nipping my gouarmi. Suggestions please!! :D

Also - I'm going to try cycling the new tank hopefully without fish. I'll be adding fish food to get ammonia, and hopefully that will start things off. I'm also going to put some filter media and gravel from my established tank in there, so that should help, but I may need some fish in there to get it going. I figure I could just add a few (maybe 2?) of my zebra danios, and then move them back to their other tank when I'm done cycling. However, (silly question probably), should I just pop them right into the new tank? Temp will probably be the same, and obviously pH and stuff too since it's the same water source. I don't see any problems with doing this, but I wanted to make sure.

y not a male and a couple fem. guppies...they would be pretty and when they gave birth ud have some live food...or more tankmates.....or how bout some ADF's there peacefull and fun to watch...even when theyr just chillin.

If your not going any bottom feeders I reckon u should go guppies they are extremely fascination to watch due to their colors. remember the 2:1 ratio (female/male) good luck!!!! ;)
