lowestoft,
so im getting my first coral tomorrow it a pink xenia its on a piece of LR am i right in thinking that i add it they same as i would add a fish float for bout 30mins add a bit of my water from the tank float for another 30mins then place it in the tank?
thanks for your help

the recommended method is drip acclimation. really easy, just get an airline tube, fill it with water from ur tank, cover both ends, leave 1 end of the tube in the tank water and the other one in a small bucket then let the water flow and put some clips on the tube to slow down the flow of water. You would most likely want to aim for 6 drops per second.

Your method works too but like said before, drip acclimation is best when coming to any livestock.

You can also put a knot in the airline to slow the water flow ;) just make sure you tighten the knot after you start the siphon.

My problem with the drip method is keeping the specimen warm. Never liked it. Prefer float. Just me. SH
