Adding another light...

Hi. My Juwel Rekord 96 only comes with 1x18/20 watt light.

I should like to add another light if possible. To help with plant growth and too look nicer! What I want to know is.....

Can this be done? Looking inside the hood, there doesn't appear to be too much room.

If it can. Could someone point me in the direction of how to do so?

I have also been thinking of this KentBlokey..

My Rekord 70 only comes with one 15W tube. I thought about screwing some clips in through the front slope of the hood, but the tube would then be below the access hatch and access is difficult enough with the juwel hood.

I have also thought about hacking the hood apart and removing the internal ballast, putting a tube in its place and using an external ballast. But this option seems like a lot of trouble. I would try it if I could get hold of a spare hood for next to nothing.

I have also thought about just making another hood, but I like the slimness of the Juwel hood...and I did buy it because it was a complete kit in the first place!

So I would also be interested in any good ideas anyone may have.

Hi Daza.

I also was thinking about the 'slope' part. But then that would be awkward for the syphon to fit when doing a ter change, I would think.

And then also though about buying a new Hood, but like you got Juwel because of the complete set-up.
