Would it even be possible to add another female to a tank with 4 betta females already in the tank? I would think it wouldn't work..wouldn't it upset the balance of the tank? Would I have to take all the other females out then reintroduce them again along with the new female?
Just curious doubtful I will anyway. One day I'd like to have a huge tnak of female bettas.I just love thier personalities.

How big is the tank? They say 4-6 females for a ten gallon and I've never heard anything before about an even number of females being better than an odd number of them. You should be fine adding another female but watch out for aggression. It's likely that your four females have already established who's who so with a new female things might have to be reevaluated a bit. If aggression lasts longer than a few days when everyone's getting settled I'd be a bit concerned.

Thank you nino I went back and got her..My tank is a 10 gallon. What I did was take each female out and put them back in all together. So far the newest arrival is just sitting back checking out things. I think shes in a bit of shock. Going from that tiny container to the tank.

I really enjoy the females bettas..

Female bettas are great. Sassy little things! You did what I would have done - take them all out and put them back in. Another thing you could try is rearrange plants/ornaments to upset their territorial boundries, but if you have your tank the way you want it you wouldn't want to mess it up.
