Adding Ammonia

After adding enough ammonia to bring the ammonia level up to 5ppm, do you add ammonia the next day until it starts to drop, or do you not add any more??

On one website, it said to stop, but everywhere besides tha it says to continue adding it.

You need to add the same amount of amonia every day until you see nitrites, then drop the dosage to 1/2, but continue to add it every day. The bacteria needs to be fed consistently.

I'm in the add it every day camp, cut the dose in half once you see nitrites and continue adding every day. Works like a charm.
