hi ive read the pinned articles on the fishless cycle, add & wait & add daily methods, the add daily seems to be recomended if you want to stock on the high side, as this is what i intend to do its this method im leaning towards at the moment.
unfortunatley all the write ups ive read on this forum have been the add & wait method, has anyone reading this tried the add daily cycle & if so how did it go ? :good:

I personally have not tried it, but I would not recommend to do it this way, as it usually takes longer.

Also, when Ammonia is raised above 8 ppm, we start to produce a different type of bacteria, not the kind that we want and need.

So it takes longer for the right bacteria to grow.

With the "Add and Wait" method you add up to 5 ppm, and then follow what the thread says.

Anyways, 5 ppm of ammonia, which you will be adding each time your Ammonia drops to 1 ppm, is going to establish enough bacteria in your filter to take care of a lot of fish.

Say you do the "Add and Wait" method, and you completed it, you want to add fish slowly, not all at once. This way it gives time for your bacteria to adjust to the current "bio-load."

So say you did not have enough bacteria in your filter after the cycling process, adding a couple fish at a time is going to allow your bacteria to colonize to adjust to the more ammonia.

I would suggest to do the "Add and Wait" method.
