I bought a t-5 light that only has room for one bulb and an actinic only bulb came with it can i use that only for corals like pulsing xenia, mushrooms, and frogspawn. Or should i trade it for a 10,000 k bulb? Thanks

Not sure if an actinic will be of any use as they give little useable light you would be better adding in either a

ATI aquablue specials

Or s

KZ coral light

The ATI is a better tube imo as it produces a slighlt higher PAR but is also a little more expensive.

Actinic produce much lower PAR compared to daylights.
For example,

ATI Bulb PAR readings:
Sun Pro 357
Aquablue 336
Blue Plus 311
Actinic 137

I agree with morri, go with aquablue and you'll get a decent color and PAR for a one bulb unit.

Oooh nice I never knew the diffrence in PAR just knew the order :)

mate id get a new bulb i got two of them they are called Arcadia marine hybrids and have 40% actinic and 60% marine white in one tube giving the best spectrum
