Hello

I currently have 2 clown fish - one who is about 1 1/2 inches and another who I acquired last week whose about 1/2 inch. Also a green neon goby who is just over 1/2 inch.

I have seen some Actinia Equina and wondered if these would be compatible I do not want the anenome to eat my fishes.

Any other suggestions for nice little anenome would also be appreciated.

:hi: Ziana

Beadlet anemones live around the shores of the uk, they are a cold water anemone totally unsuitable for a tropical marine set-up, sorry.

How old is your set-up, what lighting do you have and how many litres is the tank - we are very happy to help you choose a nem, but we need a few basic pieces of info :good:

It would be lovely to hear all about you and your tank?

In addition to what Seffie said, I would avoid the more food-oriented nems in general in tanks with really small fish, not just A. equina. Unfortunately the predatory nems are actually easier to keep because you can keep them happy with a good snack every day or two rather than worrying about having enough lighting, but the same nems can also be extremely sticky - too sticky for small animals to escape (which is the whole idea from the nem's standpoint!). The 1/2" goby in particular would be a worry to me.

If you want something anemone-looking and aren't bothered about having a true anemone, have a look at Rhodactis mushrooms if you haven't already.

Hi guys

thanks for the really useful replies I will definitely steer clear of those then!

My tank is http://www.swallowaquatics.co.uk/1057/products/Boyu_Marine_Nano_Aquarium_MH400.aspx

my tank is just over 18 months old, the lighting is 10000K.

I have some reef rock which has been in the tank since September and a piece of Live rock which I have had a very long time. When my camera is charged I will post some pictures of it :)

On another note the new green goby I have doesn't seem to be eating and I am worried about it, I have tried flake food, mysis and Tetra Delica brine shrimps but he just seems to ignore everything so far - I have had him 6 days now and worried that he is not setteling in, the new clown fish I have bought has settled right down though so I can't imagine there is too much stress going on in the tank. Any advice on feeding him would be great.

Cheers
