Acrylic Tank

I have an acrylic tank and although I am very happy with it (it is a tank of 180 litre and empty, I can lift it on my own!) I am a bit worried about scratching it.

When I have algae on the front, I am only wiping it with a cloth which is not very effective. Would these green cleaning pads scratch my tank if I use them?
How do others go about cleaning the sides without scratching it?

I use an algae pad for my glass tank and its fantastic, but they also do a version for acrylic tank, which may interest you

No, don't use the green ones, they are for glass. Maybe the acrylic cleaners are white (like for non-stick pans?)
