Acrylic Lid and Fluval Plant 3.0 Risers

Not sure if this is the right area for this thread but I will post it here.

Just posting a few pics of my custom made by me acrylic lid for my 75 gallon rimless tank and the 2.5 inch acrylic LED light risers I made on our laser.

I designed and cut these to fit what I needed.

Wow, very nice professional work! Are you thinking of also making them to sell? No one makes lids for 36 gallon bowfronts so there would be a market for them.

Thanks. I haven’t really thought of that but it could be an intriguing idea.

The possibilities would be endless with design and shape. I have the ability to cut up to 52” in length but for bigger tanks you would probably want 2 or 3 pieces.

I went with 2 separate pieces of acrylic for my top so I could remove the one side do whatever work was needed in the tank which would leave the other side still covered. Plus the acrylic is very light

It’s beautiful and the holes seem perfect to minimize condensation and evaporation. The petsmart bowfront comes with a one piece plastic lid. There used to be a company that made a hinged 2-piece for it but they had a back order of several months. I finally cancelled the order because they couldn’t give a delivery date. I think it was $120 plus shipping. If you’re interested in making them, I could make a template off of mine and send it to you. I would also give you the pictures of it in place you could use. If you’re interested in a first customer, you can DM me. It is really impressive looking!
