I recently purchased this plant from a seller on E-bay, only to realize after purchase that every internet site I can find about the plant says it can actually be planted in dirt outside, with no water- but does best in a bog. My aquariums are far from bog conditions. Will it grow if it is fully submerged? Any chance of it ever producing this way? Thanks!

After a short google search it would that its non-aquatic.

Which would be why I said "every internet site I can find about the plant says it can actually be planted in dirt outside". Duh. I was hoping for maybe a word of experience instead of going solely off of a website. You don't have to treat me like I'm an idiot.

I think Themuleous is trying to help. I dont see any aggression or sarcasm in the post. Chill out.

I'm no expert but generally bog plants can survive a while submerged but are destined to die sooner rather than later. Plant experts may correct me on this, but thats my understanding.

Dam straight I was, sorry if you took offence, I was just trying to help.

Just came off wrong I guess - ahh, the benefits of the written word. :/
