My male juvenile ACF has apparently reached sexual maturity and has been trying to "piggy back" my female juvenile ACF. She is apparently not interested because she just lays there....so he tries kicking her in the head with his hind foot to make her move....

and his claws left scratches right next to her eye...

I am going to add aquarium salt to help ward off infection...is there anything else I can do?

Haha yeh my ex's ACF's did that a lot too. I think they breed quite readily when old enough. It was the constant croaking at night that drove me nuts. I think salt may be your best best just add it slowly over the course of the day though so as not to shock them.

obviously I was just an overworried mama - its a few days later and there is not even a sign of the scratches! This is the first time I have kept the albino variety and have been able to see the results of their friskiness haha
