Hey All --

I have a rainbow shark in my community tank that is getting awfully agressive towards the fish. I'm wondering if anyone has experience with ACFs and rainbow sharks as I'd like to get the shark out of the tank but I'm rather fond of him and don't feel like selling him back. I have two ACFs that are about four months old in a 20gal long tank.

I found one account of an ACF and a rainbow shark on the net, but I'm afraid this might be the exception to the rule. My concern is more for the frogs than for the fish...

Thanks for your input!

Sadly... I don't think the rainbow shark made it. My initial concern was for the frogs, but it looks like the fish was eaten over-night. Maybe he's hiding in the tank but one of the frogs appears to be awfully bloated... ah well, now I know.

Yeah... ACFs tend to eat any fish big enough, some will just wait and wait untill the fish becomes nice and juicy... then CHOMP! buh-bye fishy... Remember, a 3" clawed frog can eat a 3" fish...

Your shark got eaten I'd bet. ACF are to be housed ALONE IMO, far too aggressive to have tank mates besides other ACF of equal size..
