Acara acting strange

I have a 150 with a mix of NW cichlids and a pleco. There are two Acara in the tank, but one of them spend the day sitting on a plant. When I feed she comes up and eats really well, but then goes back to the plant. Am I worrying too much, or is this strange?

I used to have a Blue Acara that would hide in a piece of drifwood i have and would only come out during feeding and at night or when nobody is around. As long as it's not breathing hard or showing ill effects then she should be fine
