Hello everyone, esp Ben,

I've been doing this thing that Ben suggested, feeding my acans regularly to promote growth. They have been doing really well but they've spouted new heads and are now looking really squashed up together! Will they right themselves to their normal circular form?

Thanks!!!

Dont worry about that, they will spae themselves out a bit. Acans do tend to have smaller heads too so they sort of even out size wise over time.

What are they on? If its sand and not rock id suggest you seat them on a flat bit of rock or frag plate. They will spread out better this way. Id maybe give them a fortnight off the food to catch up.

Marble frag plus are the best imo, maybe wasted on acans but they leach calcium and help skeletal growth on sps/lps

Thanks guys!! They're on a piece of rock which is like half a sphere, and that's on flat live rock, I hope it'll grow right down the sides of sphere and onto the flat rock eventually!!

There's old skeleton of what looks like acan from when I bought it, will the acans grow back over that? Or avoid it?

I was a bit concerned because of the skeleton structure and wasn't sure if they could right themselves. Glad to hear they sort themselves out!! Thanks again you two!
