I recently downloaded DivxBundle & the problems seem to have started there

Now I cannot seem to save/dowload anything

& I have to switch my firewall off before FF lets me use the internet

As you can gather I had no clue when it comes to computer

Anyone any magic soloutions

Where did you buy the Stargate episode from? The SciFi channel or iTunes or something? Assuming you did so legally, then in the first instance you should be asking their tech support about why their player software isn't working. This may have happened before, and the conflict is known and resolveable.

Cheers,

Neale

Wasnt legally downloaded, so no tech support there (Session 10 so far downloaded 4 episodes & they are excellant)

Pardon me for saying this, by disabling your firewall, anti-virus, and anti-adware stuff just so you can watch a television programme you stole sounds insane. I take it you're running some version of Windows, right? Simply doing that opens your computer up to goodness knows what viruses and malicious software.

It is entirely possible for someone to bait a trap with "free" television programmes that require a certain player, but that player also happens to be malicious software using your computer to send out spam, or worse, recording all your passwords and the like and feeding them back to someone else. Not saying that's what is happening, but it could.

Surely just buying the DVD legally would not only mane you could run your PC normally, but also give you the satisfaction of knowing that you were operating within the law and paying the artists who created the TV show you enjoy so much.

Cheers,

Neale

I have however delete Norton Firewall (which was causing a browser error) & downloaded Zone Alarm, Ad Aware & AVG Anti Virus , have also removed a few Gigs of rubbish from my computer, ran Tune up 2006, reduced my Cache , All of which seems to have helped out a fair bit.

I think you need to re-read my post as I never deleted my Ad-Ware or Antivirus software, I deleted 1 Firewall & replaced it with another as Norton (original Firewall) was casuing browser errors

The player I use doent belong to the downlaoding site, I use Windows Media Player, Real Player & Quick

If you wanna buy the DVD's on you go, thats your decision, I will make my own in using shareware programs

No, it's not a decision, it's the law. By downloading TV shows instead of paying for them you're stealing from the studios and in turn from the actors, writers, and directors who depend on the residuals (the payments on each DVD sale they get) for their livelihood. Not all are big stars, a lot of them are living hand to mouth. So if you like a show and the people who make it, the way to support the show is to buy the DVD.

Cheers,

Neale
