Hey everybody! I'm new to fish, so also new to the forums :). Here's a little about myself and my fishy friends - I'm Julie, 18 years old, and from Washington state. I love all animals and have always been interested in fish and marine life. Finally I decided to fill up the ol' 10 gallon tank which used to house my gerbils. I read a ton of information before and right after setting up the tank, so I feel like I know more than the average beginner, but who knows! :p I originally picked out an assortment of fish such as guppies to order online, but decided to get the tank established first with some more hardy fish. I chose Tiger Barbs and since have gone through about 10. -_- The first 6 fish I had lived for about 2 months but they all died when I was on vacation, I think due to ich. So anyways, I started over and now have 1 tiger (his buddies died), and some danios... I decided to try a new, hopefully hardier variety of fish! I have 2 normal Zebra Danios, 2 long finned Zebras, and 2 long finned Leopards. We'll see how these guys do. I'm trying my best to get my tank to cycle - I have a water test kit and am trying to remember my routine water changes :). Anyways thats the detailed account of my fish history, lol. Also - I have a horse, dog, and cat. I'm mostly involved with horses, I love them. Whelps, hope to talk to you all soon! Nice meetin ya!

Hi and Welcome...as you can tell I breed Guppies lol :p and I also breed Black Mollies, as for right now I have 3 Adult Guppies (1 male & 2 females) 2 Adult Black Mollies male and female, a 3 in pleco, and 27 baby Guppies ages 1 month, 7 days, and 1 day old, and 25 Black Mollies babies that are 4 days. :D

:hi: to the forum. and enjoy keeping fish!!! if your tank is a new setup it will need to go through a cycling period. when you said you started over does that mean from stripping the tank down? if so you have put to many fish in initially. for 10 gallons I would not have more than 3 fish in for the first 8 weeks of fish may die from ammonia poisoning.

Welcome to the forum! I love horses, although I dont own one. I rode one the other day - not as hard as i thought! Enjoy it here!

hehe kevin you didn't double post  haha at least not on my computer ... s'all good yo.... :p hehe

Hi juliethegr8t...Welcome to the forum, sounds like you have a good handle on things so far, but as Tanked mentioned keep an eye on the stocking levels for the 10 gal tank...try to figure 1 inch per gal (adult size of the fish) and you should be Ok.
