Well i bought an ABF and its been eating alot but i have never seen it go poop... Could it be constipated? Oh well if it doesnt poop does this mean its excluded from the 1 gallon per inch rule?

Goin off topic about ABF since i dont want to make another topic about it... I was thinkin about purchasing a brown ghost knife to top off my 30 gallon but.. either i want a knife or an elephant nose. Does anyone know anything about the elephant nose particularly about how to care for it?

elephant noses have teeny-tiny little mouths and are often times difficult to properly feed in a community setting. that being said, they also inhabit a completely opposite level from an ABF, so if you can find something it is willing to eat... :dunno:

(i'd go for a baby whale morymid myself; they seem a bit hardier)

Hehe I got excitedand I went out and bought one it was $14.99 :*) I acclimated it and put it in the tank. Then I thawed out some bloodworms and put it in the tank and i saw it eat so maybe I'm lucky. I got to get a camera so i can take sum pix.

I thought those things were evil and they got huge?? Oh well.
Well i good luck with the elephant nose. They are very sensitive, if he doesnt eat the bloodworms try some live ones. I never saw them eat frozen ones before.

nah, you're thinking of baby whale catfish. the other baby whales are essentially just elephantnoses without the nose and a slightly smaller adult size.
