Abei Puffer Im Getting One Defo

after few weeks of will i wont i ive decided to empty my tank stock and ehome them in my tank upstairs to make way for an abei puffer as there so smart, can any1 give me the heads up on them, how to keep what substrate? what decor etc?

What size tank do you have? Any substrate will do as they tend not to be buriers (to my knowledge) Good interesting decor with hidey holes and retreats. Live or fake plants, they wont mind. Must be cycled, filtered and heated. Depending on the puff and where you get it from may need to train to frozen foods. Also be aware to include crunchy foods as part of the diet to keep their beaks trim. Crunchy foods include things like cockles, snails etc. Best of luck and just ensure to do your research around the web before diving in

hi lilacamy thanks for the info .. what do you mean by train onto frozen foods? and how often would i feed the abei puffer? i know it eats bloodworm,mussels,cockles etc but how often would it get them?

any info would be great thanks

ps can an abei stay in a tank with any other puffers?
