The babies are getting their color! I just noticed today!! I thought I saw a few sparkles on the babies about a week ago but now I'm DEFINATELY seeing color! :kana: or at least very shiny blue film over their bodies! SOO cute! And they look like little fish instead of tadpoles now!

I've got my grow out tank cycling now, 25 gallons. Oh yes! Update on the filter, I used a mild amount of chlorine along with the vinegar and ammonia, and rinsed, and rinsed, and RINSED (and did I mentioned rinse) until I couldn't smell the cleaner on it anymore, and then I ran it with the new carbon in, then I took a teeny bit of water from the tank and put it in with Pretty and watched for an hour, and continued adding till I felt safe enough to actually put him in the tank. Then watched him another hour, still nothing, so I left and checked in on him over and over, till now, 3 days, he's still perfectly fine. I'm glad I bought Pretty anyway, he's sooo sweet

Eee! I have sooo many plans for that tank! I'm keeping the females and I'm gonna keep them together in that tank, and make it all girly and stuff with pink gravel and tye-dye silk plants and a big castle so there are all kinds of hidey holes for them!

And the place where I got Pretty has all these AMAZING bettas in there, all flaring and happy and blowing bubble nests, and he offered to take what ever bettas I don't have room for! Its really wonderful because the bettas are just SO happy and their colors are spectacular! They oooze happiness!

I just had to share, I think these babies are gonna be BLUE!!! :D

Congrats! ^-^ I am so happy for you and your little fishie babies! =3 :kana: I wanna see piccies of them one of these days!

Their colors aren't showing up on the camera but many of them have an ultra shiny blue thing going on. They all have fins and are bottomless pits of hunger. They eat a whole cube of daphnia overnight.

Here are what pictures I could get:

"Rats, guess not."

Its a shame you can't see all their fins, they have every last one, and they're sooo tiny and cute, the camera won't show them up.
