Another wonderful day out in the ocean chasing some inhabitants for our tanks.

The water was from 20 to 25 metres vis and 25 degrees temp, basicly perfect.

The first pic is how nice the day was and the second is of how busy it was there, lots of divers enjoying the clear water.

One of the new guys came along to check what goes on and tried his hand at collecting.

He loved it as i always do and we got a few nice fish and inverts, two for his tank, one for marks, three for Pauls and a few left over for who ever, mainly banded shrimp, one of the guys always wants one or two of those.

There were heaps of lion fish around,so many i got two tangled in the net at one time,we saw some semicirculatus, none were needed so i didnt try to catch them,we left them for the commercial guys that work the area.

Finaly the water was very, very clear as it has been months since it has been this good for us to have a clear water trip.

The pics that folow are of some of the things we got and some videos of,anything really, this was the best day for quite a while.

it was on the gold coast.

Finaly we had lovely clear water to enjoy.

We just finished two more trips, one was a wreck trip and one more in two days to the island.

The link that follows has our past trips and in the members section there are the very recent trips for the clubbies to look at,they will go to public veiwing snorkelling---- section very soon.

Is there much sea life off Burleigh Heads. Do you ever get down that way.

Its an indemic form of bristle tooth tang.

Very hard to catch, mark wanted some as they are one of the few that eat all agaes including the red algae/bacteria combo slimy variety.

Lovely harmless fish, but you may have a heart attack trying to catch one of these,i nearly did.

The island trip we had yesterday when we put it on the net will blow every ones mind,it was amazing.

It will be in our members forum for a few days and than i will put it there for all to see.
