Ok, I had a pretty busy morning and didn't feed the bettas when I 1st woke up like I usually do, I had to run to the post office before they closed etc etc...so the bettas were 2 hours off their "schedule"
Anyhoo.....I have a 2.5 gallon that's divided, an awesome looking male on one side and a stunningly gorgeous female on the other. He's forever building bubble nests and she's popping his bubbles as fast as he blows them (shes a little rude but I love her) I just got home a few minutes ago and began making my rounds to feed them, when I came to their tank I fed her 1st as usual because if I feed him 1st she practically jumps out of the tank so then I went to his side and....he wasn't there I looked and apparently he had wormed his way onto her side and she ripped off his side fins, the ones he swims with , put a couple holes in his long beautiful finnage, his mouth looks a little red and he was just laying on her side very lethargic looking ,unable to swim. I put him back on his side, adjusted the glass divider gave him some colloidal silver & some food but other than that I dunno what else to do for him, I'll run out and buy some melafix in a little while. On the other hand she looks fantastic , the point of the story....see how dramatic they are? They think they're missing one meal and all heck breaks loose bad news bettas
