can I suggest that a member of staff please get back to me ref the several reports
I have made about a certain topic. you know which one or will if you read the reports.

I'm sorry if this seems a bit terse but it is only manners to actually let the reporter
know if anything is being done about it.

Out of the only one or two times ive reported something i haven't had a personal reply.

It's not a compulsory thing to do but i agree it would be a nice gesture and good manners.

I thank all members that help in the difficult and tedious process of modding the forums. Reporting posts that are out of order is a simple and effective way of keeping our forum on target.

A personal thanks for each is, however, not reasonable. If I spent time sending a nice "thank you" to everyone that reported a post, I'd never have time to post anything on the boards.

I do expect after the third report of the same topic at least some kinfd of communication,
even if it is to say stop reporting this thread.

If it is just a new member trying to sell the latest lotion, potion, or other of a million things people sell online I'll usually just remove the topic. If someone posts in the wrong section, and asks that it be moved I'll often give a little "done deal" sort of reply. Anything beyond that I try to give a little more detailed reply, though this is not always possible at the time I deal with the issue at hand.

I also would like to thank the members who report posts that are out of line. The moderating team can't be everywhere, checking on everything posted. The members who help with this truly are in keeping with the spirit of this forum.
