A Quick Snail Question

I am expecting assassin snails to arrive in the mail either later today or tomorrow. Do snails require the same procedure of acclimation to an aquarium as fish? (Float the bag, add tank water in small bits, etc)

Yea, I'd float them in the water like you would a fish
