A Quezzie?!

Hey guys, new to the salty side. Been keeping FW tropicals and loved it. Now feel im ready to take the plunge. Been doing a lot of research, so learning loads!!

Just recently I got an absolute bargain on ebay.

-aqua one aquience cube 550 (165 litres)
-rena xp2 external filter
-Deltec Mc 500 Skimmer
-Tertra Tec Air pump
-Appropriate filter (forgot brand)

ALL FOR £46.00

Couldnt believe my luck!!
Picked it up yesterday, just fit in the car. JUST! lol Had to take the cabinet apart.

So at the moment, it has no lighting so just looking at my options. How much would I need? and could someone recommended a lighting system?

Its going to be reef and just plan on keepinga few Softies.

Wow, you really did get a bargain there didn't you

Is it the mce 300 or 600?

Lighting really depends on the depth of your pcokets - you could go with t5 or if you are good at diy maybe LEDs like a couple of the lads have done.

Yeah it was the MC500. couldnt believe my luck. Well the tank is basically a 2ft cube.
Was thinking maybe diy leds, but dont really know where to start. anyone got any good links to a guide or journal for help?
