Woohoo, I finally got my two CT females from the evil clutches of the post office! (The evil bastards decided not to bother knocking on my door, turned me away at the post office and finally gave them to me the following day) The girls are happily settled into their new homes, but I have a question! I have my females' tanks very close to my males. Both boys and girls seem to be having a good time flirting and showing off, but that's the root of my inquiry! None of the fish seem to be stressed, but is it a bad idea to have the females in view of the males? I don't want my babies nervous. Any imput would be helpful, thank you!

;) yay!! Congrats on the new girls.. I think we need pics!

I wouldn't worry too much. It *can* stress out/exhaust boys if they're too close to other boys OR girls and they're displaying constantly, in that case just put a piece of paper between the tanks. They will probably appreciate a few breaks from flaring!

Oh, thank goodness! As I said, though they are having fun showing off they seem to be getting along alright. If the children get too frisky I'll have to try your suggestion~

Thank you very much! I'm so happy with them! They even got to go to work with me, since thanks to the fine postal service I had to use my lunch break to go get them. I REALLY want to show pics of all the children, but alas I'm still stuck on this temporary computer without any ports whatsoever. As soon as I get my real computer back from Mr. Fix It I shall post!
The girl I actually bought, Bindi is very small (only about an inch long) and very cute! I think she has a crush on her neighbor, my veil male Puck. She shows off even more than he does and likes to sit as close to him as possible. Her color perked up immediately to a rich blue-green with a silver belly and black horizontal stripes. She's very energetic and quite the tease.
My freebie, Shiirice, is platinum with purple-tipped fins. She's very sweet and docile, but likes to say hello to me already.
