Shouldn't you be looking to the right?
Heya guys,
Yes its me lurking around again I accidentally stumbled into a pico site; and WOW it was amazing.
Here is the site, sorry if im breaking rules. HERE
I COMPLETELY understand the maintenance etc, that a small change in water chemistry can wreck the tank, where as on a larger scale it wont do much as you have more room for error etc. But I am captivated by these pico's
If I "DID" go for a pico i would do an AIO, like this, or this
So a built in fuge, with cheato a maxi jet 400 pump and LR rubble a heater and any other floss in the back.
I read that I could keep 1 fish in a 5.5gallon, and i saw alot of 3 gal JBJ pico's with a yellow clown goby or a yellow tail dwarf damsel or a goby; so 1 fish max.
I would also consider going to school and asking a tech assistant to help me make a complete acrylic tank, or the fuge separator for the fuge.
BUT im not sure on what lighting to be honest, and what corals; if i DID do a pico I would love to keep a hammer coral some zoo's/shrooms and some xenia And a possible fish, but what kind of nano safe fish is there? that would be happy?
Also in a 5.5 gallon tank, how many KG's of LR would i need, and how much for a 3 gallon tank? I like the JBJ, i wish it was in a 5.5 gallon size, i love its shape
ALSO! what filters? I would like i said have a fuge, but some have a HOB, i thought they were dangerous for pico's?
I just want to say that i do understand maintenance, and difficulty to keep a pico, but im generally excited and want to know more
and last question, if i was to buy Saltwater ready made, how long would it last in the bucket's it comes in?
thanks guys,
Baguu
edit: also what kind of cuc could i keep in a 5.5/6 gal?
