One of my professors GAVE me a 29-gallon tank, complete with gravel, filter, heater, hood, stand, and fish!

Back in January, I was going to buy a 20- or 30-gallon tank, but then moved into an apartment and the money had to go for that instead of for a tank. Now someone's given me a tank! Woo-hoo!
It came with two fish - a Betta and a Gourami (yes, they were in together
- I think the Betta terrorized the Gourami). I have the Betta moved into a one-gallon and the Gourami is in my ten-gallon for now. I don't yet have the 29-gallon moved to my apartment. Yesterday I took the fish out and moved them to my house, then emptied the water out of the tank. I don't really have time to move the tank and stand before I head out of town tonight. I know the Gourami should be in something bigger than a 10-gallon, and when I get back home for the summer, or perhaps when I'm home for a weekend next month, I'll move the 29-gallon and stuff to my place and set it up. I think I'll want to get a new hood and lights for it, 'cause I want live plants in there and I don't think the light it currently has is bright enough to grow or maintain live plants.
I have determined that the Gourami is a Blue Gourami aka Three-Spot Gourami. He's pretty skittish. I need to put hiding places in the tank for him (her?), as the only hiding places I currently have are for littler fish.
On Monday, I bought two Otos (using a little of my tax-refund money!) to help with algae control in my tank. They are two HAPPY little fish, I tell ya! Munch, munch, munch...
Other than that, the "excitment" around here has involved finals week (I took one final this morning and will take another this afternoon), lots of driving to visit my fiancé ('cause he moved four hours away from me to start his new job), and wedding planning

Hope you all are doing well! I miss being here, but I just haven't had time with school and wedding planning and what-not.
