I was hoping to start on the cupboard/stand today but rain has stopped play.

Sump baffle area masked ready for insertion. Sump built last night for testing today.
Sump in preliminary testing phase. Showing the path the water will flow. The skimmer now sits parallel with the baffles. The output is being fed back into the skimmer feed chamber, hopefully this will ensure the water is well skimmed. Adding detrius into sump input showed me the path it was going to take as seen in the red lines. I will be adding filter floss in-between baffle 1&2.
Newjet 1700 is giving plenty of flow although this will be reduced to 60-70% due to head height.
