\/ This picture, if you can imagine, was of a few heavy blossoms hanging out under this archway made of two bushes........it was straight out of the secret garden I tell ya.

Silver! I'm so jealous! I love lilacs and we have them all across our backyard, but it's still cold through their blooming season (is that what it's called?) Anyway, ours only bloom every few years. Thanks for putting these up, they made my day! :D

Oh you're so welcome :*) As long as one other person on this earth got enjoyment out of them then I am a happy camper!!

Ya, I guess you'd say "blooming season" :dunno:. They bloom in May. We just had our annual Lilac parade yesterday :hey: Maybe one day one or ALL of my kids will be playing in it with thier school band like me and my siblings did :*) .

I'm allergic to them myself, but they sure are gorgeous aren't they! ;)

Mmmmmm...We have those in my hometown too....always loved the smell of them! :D

Ahhhhhhh jeez comet.............I'm blushing now!! :*) :*)

Thanks, I'm glad I could be of service! :D

Seriously though....if I could bottle that smell I'd be a millionaire!! It's truly out of this world.....well, not really, but............

great pics. used to have a lilac tree in the garden, but it blew down last year in the gales :(

Great pics Silver, you can just imagine fairies or leprechauns snoozing in that 'secret garden' :)

Ahhh, I know Ken! It is amazing the beauty that this earth beholds and us humans are the cause of all it's ugliness!! :-(

Besides natural disasters!! :*) But you know, if those disasters don't in fact "hurt" anyone, they are beautiful too!

Sorry, I'm just in one of those moods today ;)

very very pretty, our state flower is the purple Lilac..and they are everywhere you turn around here..except ours! ours only bloom every couple years, but everyone else has like 5 big bushes in there yards, no fair. i will have to take some pics of my hometown as well, because I loved your pictures so much!

Thanks you so much Bittersweet!!

I wonder why Washington State calls Spokane the Lilac city??
The Rhododendron is our St. flower I know.

:dunno:
