The angel tank was is not in the FR and had just had a water exchange -- I had not wiped down the tank prior to the photo.

I like those Rainbow Fish . Always wanted them but I don’t have a big enough aquarium . They’re really big , right ?

The Boesemani male should reach the 5 inch mark and the females maybe 3 inches. There is a male and a female in the tank -- Three more female need to be removed from Bozo's tank. They are difficult to net and Linda insists on being gentle and waiting until I drain the tank a bit.

The others are Australian I believe, 3 female and a male -- they should grow to about 4 inches I read.

These are fun fish to watch -- Piranhas at feeding time and always active.

That confirms it then . They are big and fast swimmers too so , unlike a slow moving big fish , they would wither away and die in even a twenty gallon which is the biggest I have . Every person I have ever heard of that has them loves them so there must be something to them .

Yeah, a 20 won't do. They are cute but not very bright, and they often hit the glass nose first even when young in a 20. I stopped keeping bows because of tb, but I loved having them here. They're easy going fish.

But to me, for my 4 foot tanks.

Can't be any worse than silver dollars....i used to hate cleaning their tank, scales and dented faces everywhere

They are in a 4 footer and seem very happy. No running into the glass so far and will keep fingers crossed on TB. Supposedly bred by a "home" breeder.

Running into glasses means there is too much reflection inside the tank. But once resolved...

Silver dollars can live with piranhas in a 20 without loosing an inch of their tails and hitting any walls.

PS: I did not do that and always been against it. But I've seen it done.
