While I was Choosing Mello Las week I Noticed they were keeping a Very large Sarasa Comet in a 4 Gallon tank.

You Know what caught my Eye.

Apart from being over 8"

He was Dyed.

Each Fin was a different Color and he looked so Fake.

He was probably bought the same Day. If he is still there in the Morning I will Rescue Him.

:D

Just rang the store and bought him.

They are Going to keep him untill they are satisfied he is disease Free.

Now I need another Tank.

I might keep him in a the 3.5 Gallon Barrell.
See how He goes.

I would advise againt buying the fish because it will just look like demand for the 'product'. Also, 3.5g is not going to be be big enough for any goldfish. Commons and comets need even more room because of their capacity to swim fast.

Sorry My Fault.

Meant to say it is a Long Trough Barrel that I used to use as a Planter in the 12ft Pond.

It Is 12 Inches High and 7 Inches Wide.

I Used it to grow out my Sarasa's and japanese Bubble Eyes, In A Second Trough.

It kinda Looks like those long Terracota Planters you see in Garden Centres.

I Use a Small Pump to create a Current which they swim against.

Never had Any Probs using It.

This is a 1 off fish. It came thru with there delivery of Koi.

They have said they will not purchase any more and will only sell to a hobbyist who will look after him.

When fish are dyed, how long does it last? Is it perminant in the flesh like a tatto, or a surface dye like a hair colour?

I hope he lives for a long time.
As he is already 8Inches he may have a long life.

Rang the store this morning to see how he is, and some git sold him.

i was looking forward to keeping him.

Oh well

I hope whoever bought him treats him proper.
