a krib question or two

1. what size do kribs get when they are ready to pair off and breed.
2. can a kribs live with guppies until they pair off and breed?

Sure, Kribn's can live with guppies, however I'm not sure how long the Guppies will live with the Krib's, especially once they pair off. As for what size for them to pair, I recomend mking sure that your male is about double the size of the female. In the wild the younger females are generally attracted to the older more mature males. When I had a male and female the same size, the female beat the male up pretty good. Once I had a much arger male and a smaller female, they paired within a week. Read around here and you will find many others have had the same experience with the smaller female and the larger male.

Do you have room for the reprocussions if they decide to breed?

yes, i have a 20 gallon tank which they will use to breed in, and once the fry no longer need the parents, they will be moved into another tank to let the fry have the tank to grow up in. I also have a 10 gallon fry tank to house some if they dont all fit in the 20.

i do have a male who is quite big and a female who is quite small. I also have one male and female around the same size, yet both females are smaller than the larger male. He is quite nice looking as well with that bright orange stip on the top of his dorsal fin, the other male has yet to have his come in so nice.
