it's still Asian of some sort... not sure if it's Japanese or Chinese, or other... but it actually carries a serial number, and parts and service are available in the US... it's much, much quieter than my other linear piston pumps, which are 3/8 inch outlets, this one is nearly twice the size, with a 5/8 inch outlet... all my gang valves are 3/8 inch inlets, so this is Tee'd off from 5/8 into 2 - 3/8's...

hoping to get it installed at least enough for the bubble waterfalls in the Hillstream tank, I know they miss them... I also got a new 200 foot roll of the Penn Plax Deluxe air line, so I'll be replacing most, as I bring each on line...

They are Japanese, and medical grade. My only issue is I didn't buy a larger one, which I should have. I can run a lot of outlets, but not deep. That is a minor thing with small killie tanks, but for the big tanks, I wish I had gone larger. Cheapness gets me far too often.

The Jehmco sourced Japanese ones make one noise - bubbling. They are surprisingly quiet - quieter than small diaphragm pumps. I run two. I have an old German made diaphragm pump I use for my brine shrimp, and it makes more noise than the two Medo/Jehmco running 60 filters between them.
I have two cheaper linear piston pumps I keep unplugged, as emergency backup. They sound like WW2 aircraft revving on a cold morning. Air? Yes. Noise? Even more.

Well it’s big enough, it doesn’t fit where the old one was… patched a few lines together and put it up temporarily… bubbles in each tank now, but small tanks still on the small air pump, until I redo some more…
