I thought all my threads lately have been quite sad so I decided to take some pictures of my boy bettas. The other day I went shopping and bought 2 more 2.1 gallon kritter keepers. Now 3 of my boys live in 2.1 gallon kritter keepers. I wanted to buy 3 but the store only had 2 left so my oldest boy is still living in his gallon bowl. He's happy enough but I like the idea of having 4 kritter keepers all lined up. I think it'll look more neat as in organized :p

Anyways 2 of the boys built 2 nice bubble nests in the past day or two so I figured I'd post those as well.

Also I posted a month or so ago about a rescue I did on a male betta who's fins were really torn to bits. I've got a couple before and after pics

So here is my youngest baby betta. I bought him when his fins were still short. He's such a small betta too I wonder if he'll ever get big like the others or if he'll stay a "mini" betta. :dunno: Don't mind the water drops he had just gotten a water change :*)

Here is his nice bubble nest. Since he is so small his bubble nests are always so little and his bubbles are tiny too. He builds the nicest nests..very tight and high and they never break apart. He must have good spit

This is one of my new guys I got last month. He's upgraded to a 2.1 gallon kritter keeper and a heater in the last few days and I guess he's showing me he's happy.

Here's my oldest boy. At one time he had lovely fins but he's gotten in fights twice when he was living in a divided tank with other males and he's chewed his fins a couple of times too so now they are permanentally damaged :X Ya gotta still love him though

And lastly here are some before and after of the boy I was talking about before. As you can see he's got some nice regrowth now. The first pic was taken on August 16th and the second picture was taken on September 10th.

Aww cute >_< I love your teeny betta - he's really sweet looking and has the cutest bubblenests iv ever seen lol.

That bubblenest is just darling! I love your first boy, his colors are soooo pretty!!

WoW lovely piccies ! You're first boy is very handsome with his shimmering fins - and your boy that got himself into some fights certainly look the part
Some very nice regrowth on that last male too !

I agree. Great job with your bettas. I'm glad for the happier post Elisabeth. They look great, especially the one with the ripped fins. He looks much better. You definitely gave him some TLC.

OMG. :look: my only question is, how did you get that boy to regrow so well in less than a month!? My HM has been regrowing for almost 2 months, and he's far from having a full tail ~ his tail IS kinda huge ~ but I'd love to know what you used!

All of your boys look sooo happy! I lurve the Mini boy with the mini-nest! cuteness... I second that Kritter Keepers are awesome betta homes! My boy loves his huge $10 Kritter Keeper. I also love your sand. Do you find it hard/messy to do water changes with?

Thanks everyone for your nice comments :D I love them all but I have to admit the picture of the first boy (nameless  ) is my favorite  I didn't raise him from a tiny fry but I did get him when he was young when he still had short fins so I think I've bonded with him a little more than I have with the other 3 as I bought them when they were already adults. The little guy is my baby :p

splashluff I haven't done anything special to get my one boys fins to regrow quickly. The only thing I have done is do 2 100% water changes a week. I do that on all of 4 of their tanks though. With the sand nope it's very easy to do water changes. I just empty the water out refil it swish it around a bit let the sand settle which takes like 5-10 seconds and then dump that water out and refil it with new water. I prefer sand as their poos can't fall between the gravel and I can see it and know it's time for a water change

The first betta is absolutely gorgeous!!! I adore him! Beautiful pictures too.

yay! thanks for the sand advice. I've been *dying* to add sand to one of my tanks ( a 2g ) it is sooo gorgeous, but I've heard that it can be messy and hard to deal with ~ however, that WAS coming from some one with sand in a 30g tank!! ;)
