what fish could i have in a 9 gallon coldwater tank
I DO NOT WANT
GOLDFISH
MINNOWS
OR ADFs i know thats about all the coldwater fish but what else could i get

A plant? That's pretty much it

Unless you're gonna keep it at room temperature the whole time (just make sure the room stays warm 24/7), then you could keep a single betta in it ... but nothing more.

really
or what other with the beta like could i have 2 female bettas

Bettas should be kept singly. Males kille ach other and will also kill females. Females need to be in groups of 4 or more and need at least a 10 gallon to be kept in this size group. A single male OR a single female betta would be ok in a 1 gallon but it isn't a good option. Even bettas need a little more room than that.

Just so you know, goldfish and minnows won't work in a 1 gallon either!

Your best option is to not go with fish at all. Get some shrimp. I know they don't sound all that exciting but they can be just as interesting as fish and there are many different kinds to choose from and many different colors too. You wouldn't be able to keep too many but 3 or so would be ok and you could also plant the tank and make yourself an underwater garden. Here's a link with some shrimp species (note that only the first group are an option - only up to the 'freshwater glass shrimp'. Also, make sure the one(s) you choose are not brackish and read up on what they eat/requirements. The invertebrates section would be a good place to ask about them as well. Shrimp species link.

ok first i would not have male and female i was thinking 3-4 females you say they need at least 10 gallon i have 9 gallon.

i would like shrimp
are these tropical or coldwater i presume coldwater.can i have names of lots of shrimps that would do ok so i could search them. what do u meen plant the tank and make yourself an underwater garden.
can i have the freshwater glass shrimp
are shrimps popular at your lfs.

so u know i think you got mixed up my tank is 9 GALLON not 1 gallon thanks

The link posted above *does* have a list of shrimp, their common and latin names and brief care guides on all of them to let you know how to keep them (just click the photos).
An 'underwater garden' is just a phrase referring to a tank with lots of plants, making it look lush and green like a garden.
Some LFS do stock various species of shrimp, but others don't. Ask and see if you can get them ordered in especially.

i may do that well it sounds good i may well
