hey, my name is jamie.im a sophmore in highschool. I live in the chicago 'burbs, close to the brokfield zoo. I have a pet love bird, a goldfish caesar, a betta, fishjo, and 2 cories. yestersay i won a goldfish at a japanese summer festival game... he's really cute and oddly healthy(being quarantined). we had a turtle who we found and let free in a lake who didnt eat her goldfish, theyre still in a baby pool in the back yard. one day caesar, who wasant eaten by our 40 year old turtle will join them. uhh im getting a new tank soon. thats all...

Jamie nice to be introduced to you, excuse my ignorance, but what is a sophmore? We may understand it by a different name over here in the U.K. So you are saying at the moment you have three fish, a betta and two cory's, plus of course your other pets. I'm a little confused by the turtle and goldfish senerio, and to which pool are you referring to. Sorry I might sound thick as a plank, but I'm sure you are making perfect sense, it's just I'm not getting it. Maybe I'm a man who's gone too long without sleep to continue his journey, maybe I've been looking for that short cut that I never found, maybe it started with the landing of a craft from another galaxy............maybe my name is David Vincent!!!! Sorry ramblin' again.

I think you've been at the old "whacky baccy" again havent you dragon??????????

Welcome Peachy and enjoy the best fish forum on the net :D :D (going for more brownie points now lol)

Any questions you might have just post and we'll all do our best for you

I think a sophomore is a second year student at high school - sophia (or something like that) from the Greek for wisdom. BTW, in the UK it's spelt with an o in it. Anyway, welcome to the best fishy forum on the net :D (Brownie points please :) ) I seem to be suffering from the same disease as Dragons, :p , I didn't quite understand the story with the goldfish and turtle. Please be patient with me, it's the aliens again :0 - they've been playing with my brain :what:

Hi again Jamie. Glad to see you said hello to the others.

Don't need Whacky baccy Pete, there's loads of magic mushrooms growing just down in the woods from the end of my garden. The're protected officially....but you know who gives a toss if a few ears go missing!!!(ears of mushrooms that is) The way you can tell if a mushroom is edible or not is to pick it, rub it against the inside of your lip. If it is bitter or starts to sting then it's not edible otherwise it is. Magic mushrooms are a little bitter, but does'nt sting. You need to drink the juice after boiling the stuff to get the real effect. Not done it yet...........   ;)

Oh and by the way Pete, are you too young to understand my ramblings? I think you might be. Does anybody else understand the ramblings of an old demented man that has'nt yet had the benefit of magic mushrooms????

errr this is a little scary... i think someone covered fully what a sohpmore is... a second year high school student, 10th grade. yea we have a baby pool with 20 feeder goldfish that the turtle didnt eat. the turtle is free now... errr sorry, i dont talk so clearly. those golfish are my dads. magical mushrooms scare me... scare me they do.

Welcome Jamie. You will notice a bit of a language barrier at times. Some, actually most folks here are from overseas. Rose, Myself, Cichlidmaster, and a few others are in the states though.

This site is a good source of information. Use it well and you can't go wrong...too often :)

Welcome Peachy :D
