Nice pics and fish, that Bala is huge, how big is he.

Thank you very much! The Bala is a big guy, easily the biggest fish in the tank, Id imagine he's somewhere in the neighborhood of 8-9 inches long. Ill try to get a solo picture of him later tonight and post it, unfortunatly, like the RTS he moves around ALOT so its hard to get a good picture of him without motion blur.

He's probably my fav fish, he just looks spectacular but I never seem to be able to catch him when he's inactive! I must have taken 20 pictures of him and the one Ive posted here with the motion blur was the best I could get due to his activity level lol

What a strange mix. Do you think mixing african and american cichlids work??my mate has a similar mix and it seems to work for now! Nice fish though.

I think its working excellent, I know alot of people on this site dont seem to like the fact that Ive mixed them, however, they have been living togeather for quite some time and if you look closley you'll notice not one damaged fin not one bite mark on any of them. They couldnt be getting along better!
